Who are you? What do you do? What are you talking about? What will you be talking about? What gives you the right to talk about anything? What are you doing here? Why are you doing it here? Who the hell are you?
All valid questions and yes, you should know who I am and why I blog and why anything I’m saying might be worth reading.
Who am I? My name is Julie (aka Isis Wynn – a pen name so to speak). I’ve been blogging since about 2003 when i was dating someone who worked at Radio Userland (a soon to be defunct blogging platform), he turned me on to blogging as a way to express my writing and I’m forever grateful that I met him and learned how to share my thoughts, inspirations, stories with anyone. I originally started out using Radio Userland and soon found that there was not enough information for the beginning blogger to use Radio Userland more advanced features and started writing Radio Newbie Tips. I have been written about in books, Blogging for Dummies and Listed under Radio’s Tips from the Community (not sure how long that link will remain active). I recently moved my Radio Blog over to wordpress and I love the features of wordpress, should have moved over a long time ago.
What do I do? I am an accountant, a web designer and a technology administrator, a writer, an artist and currently a full-time student getting my masters in accounting and possibly planning on getting my doctorate in education. I own my own business and have been successful and profitable for the last 5 years. I’m advocate for technology and social media and the small business owners. I recently started a wiki for accounting terminology although the site I’m using isn’t interactive so its in the planning stages of being moved as well.
What am I talking about? I talk about everything interesting to me personally. I vent occasionally about school or work. I also occasionally will take a paid advertising gig which provides income for my merchant account fees. I have an accutane journal as well which started out as a way to express my journey with accutane. I talk about technolgy occasionally or anything that I run across that I find funny or interesting. I have several different blogs and eventually will be incorporating most of them to SexyMagick. I talk about food, my latest great delight is street eats, those elusive vendors that come out after dark. Blogging for me is a way to get ideas out of my head, connect with friends and stay in touch. SexyMagick is all about my musings about life, art, ideas, expressions. You might find something interesting here.
What does the future hold for me? I’m not sure yet, everyday is a new learning process but I think I want to be a teacher to share my knowledge with others. Teaching is about leading, guiding and interacting with others. Share what you know.
